Start-Stop designed by Jinzhou Halla Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. was awarded the third class provincial prize for progress in science & technology of Liaoning on February 27. Jinzhou Halla is the unique winning enterprise of Jinzhou city this time.

Start-stop project was set up by a R&D team of Jinzhou Halla led by Mr. Chen Jinyu and Mr. Sun Chao in 2010. As one of the most important parts of auto engine, this new product offers several advantages compared with common starters, including emission reduction, environmental protection and fuel saving of 4%-8%, etc. Besides, by using a self-developed structure of bilayer six carbon brush rack, the durability of start-stop can be increased from 50000 cycles to 300000 cycles. This has filled the domestic gap in this field and is especially suitable for urban mobility. After the mass production started from 2014, start-stop has been widely applied in OEMs like FAW, Zhengzhou Nissan, etc.

This award is the confirmation of the innovation efforts of Jinzhou Halla and a demonstration of its industrial leading position in domestic start-stop technology.
