Wonder-Geely special technical seminar was successfully held in Geely Automobile Research Institute in Ningbo on August 8. Twenty-five high-end auto components were shown in the meeting to demonstrate Wonder’s innovative achievement in intelligence, lightweight and mobility service mode. Zeng Qingdong, chairman and president of Wonder Group attended the seminar and introduced the history, industry position, business and major products of Wonder Group.

Geely Holding Group was founded in 1986 and entered into automobile industry in 1997. Geely owns several brand including Volvo, Geely, Lynk&CO and Proton, etc. With a total assets of over 200 billion RMB, Geely has been selected in World Top 500 in six consecutive years. Geely ranks No.4 in China with a sales of 0.76 million passenger cars in the first half of 2018.

Wonder Group is a domestic first-line brand of auto components and has been selected as Top 100 auto parts supplier in China. The two parties started cooperation in 2001. A variety of products developed by Wonder Group like shock absorbers, alternators, starters, air bags, seatbelts and engine valves have been applied in several popular vehicles of Geely. Wonder’s sales in the first half of 2018 has reached 0.23 billion RMB.

Wonder displayed its frontier products including lightweight motor, vibration steering wheel, pretensioner and controllable damping shock absorber, etc. in the seminar and held four technical meetings regarding hybrid technology development, intelligent steering wheel development and remote airbag technology, new generation of pretensioners technology and intelligent driving assistant technology.

Wonder’s R&D capacity attracted technical experts of Geely. The two sides expressed willingness to cooperate further in many areas. A new chapter of common development between Wonder and Geely will be started.
